Final Project Proposal

Final Project Proposal

Put together a series of images and Processing sketches that comprise the basis of and inspiration for your final project.

Agenda

The paramount issue is establishing an agenda for study, which could be a process, type of algorithm, interactive experience, etc. Look at the Exhibition in the Processing website or OpenProcessing.org, for examples.

Nota Bene

The algorithm, interactive experience, or other tool you speculate about need not be finished for the final project (read: end of semester). Instead, students are encouraged to stake a claim on research they would like to pursue after the semester ends. As a result, students will be encouraged to format their initial findings as an architectural grant application. Here is a list of grants available to most in our profession.

Final Project Proposal

Add a series of diagrams that begin to describe the data, objects, agents, components, etc., that seem relevant to your project. Look at Craig Reynolds’s Boids as an example for what these diagrams may look like. They are simply schematic, geometric representations of relationships that can easily be translated into mathematics.

For Display next week:

Compile these images, diagrams, and Processing sketches into a webpage or slide show that outlines your investigation.
